A bold attempt at a feature begins with the most viewed YouTube clips filed under the Japanese language for Sunday, the week as a whole, the top anime related clip in the category and the top Japanese new related post.

In order we begin with the first of two soccer related clips. Former Aston Villa and now Stuttgart midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger earned the nickname “Der Hammer” in his time at Villa Park and it is easy to see why with a left foot like this. This volleyed equalizer put Stuttgart well on there way to clinching the Bundesliga title on the final day.

You can never go wrong kicking the corner flag.

Next up, Nagoya Grampus Eight midfielder Keisuke Honda finds a new way to hit a ball as he bends this free kick in against Hong Kong’s Under-22 side.

Third up, an AMV created with the full version of the Lucky Star OP. It takes a bit of a turn to the surreal at the halfway point. Just watch.

And finally, media coverage of a former Yakuza member fighting off the police in Nagakute. Yes, there is a dead body in this clip.
